Hillel Academy has served Binghamton for over 50 years, providing the best in secular and Judaic education. We are proud to continue our tradition of excellence, while constantly working to improve our school.
Our exceptional faculty teaches to each student's learning style. We offer mixed classrooms, and our students thrive in our dynamic learning environment. As a small private school, we customize each students learning experiences, allowing for maximum growth and development. We pride ourselves on training our students to be lifetime learners, instead of test-takers.
When schools moved online in March, each of our students received an updated Chromebook (Ipads for our youngest students). Classes continued synchronously without a hitch, with a full daily class schedule.
No matter what this school year brings, whether we work together online, or in person, our school size and our exceptional faculty will allow us to provide a complete and continuous year of learning.
Pre-K, or Ganeinu, the Hebrew term for “our garden,” is our pre-kindergarten classroom. We have expanded Ganeinu by opening it free of charge to 4 year old (by 1 December) children in the Binghamton Jewish community. This half-day program runs Monday through Friday, from 8:40 am – 12:30 pm. Class size is capped at 8 students.
An extended day option is available.
Kindergarten – Fifth Grade Registration
We offer language instruction in Hebrew, music, art, Jewish customs and ceremonies, and the best in math, science, and humanities education. The students of Hillel Academy have the advantage of small class sizes, enabling staff to individualize instruction, focus on each child’s needs and strengths, and provide a stimulating and enriched environment in which to learn and grow. We teach to students, not to exams. Class sizes are capped at 10 students.
